 The Congo African Grey
Parrot (Psittacus erithacus) is
one of the most popular species
kept for a pet. This is due to
its great intelligence, quiet
demeanor and excellent ability
to mimic. A grey can easily
sound exactly like the human
who teaches it to talk. Some individuals
have amazing vocabularies.

 

 The Timneh African Grey (Psittacus erithacus timneh) is smaller than the Congo
African Grey but has the same wonderful personality characteristics and talking ability. Some think that theTimneh is less
nervous than the Congo.

 

At AVES INTERNATIONAL we raise both the
Congo and the Timneh African Grey subspecies.
