PARROTS |
Main Page
What a wonderful parrot,is a
Yellow-Naped Amazon (Amazona auropalliata)! For true parrot aficionados
nothing beats the spicy personality of the Yellow-Naped Amazon. |
|
We have
been breeding the rare
Jamaican Yellow-Billed
Amazon (Amazona collaria) since 1984. Rare Amazons, such as this
species should be
in a breeding program
and not kept as pets. They require a lean diet. |
|
The Double Yellow-Headed Amazon
(Amazona ochrocephala oratrix) deserves its reputation as an
excellent talker and pet. All Amazon Parrots require a lean diet
with lots of vegetables that contain vitamin A for good health. |
|
This delightful Yellow-Faced
Amazon (Amazona xanthops) is uncommon in captivity and not very
prolific. We have worked with this species for over a decade.
These parrots are more like Pionus than Amazons in their behavior. |
