In this photo are (clockwise), Long-Billed Corella, Umbrella, Rose-Breasted, Ducorp's, Goffin, Moluccan, and Bare-Eyed Cockatoos. We keep our baby cockatoos' feathers as clean as possible and do not allow them to be stained with formula.

These precious Panama Amazon chicks are just fully feathered on 5/22/01 and are ready to move to a weaning cage. They are dimorphic at this age with a female on the left and a male on the right.

This little Moluccan Cockatoo is eight weeks old and is already thinking about flying!

These three to four week old Magna Double Yellow-Headed Amazons are ready to eat their dinner! Amazons have voracious appetites as young chicks and are delightful to hand-feed. They make very pleasing begging noises.

Here is a contented group of sleeping Hahn's Macaws and Bronze-Winged Pionus Parrots. We prefer to keep our babies in small groups for comfort and socialization.

These Bronze-Winged Pionus Parrots are about six to seven weeks old and are
showing their lovely coloration. This species
is gorgeous in strong light with various shades of blue, purple, pink, bronze, and greens. The Pionus Parrots have generally mellow personalities and are great pets for families and children.

Ten week old Blue & Gold Macaws are nearly ready for a cage on 7/3/01. These babies have another six weeks of weaning ahead.

The playpen is full of babies every day!
On 7/3/01, shown are three weaning Maximillian Pionus on the bottom and two Hahn's Macaws and a lovely Blue-Headed Pionus on the top.

Here are two views of a lovely Blue-Headed Pionus Parrot on 7/3/01.
The red on the fore-head is a juvenile characteristic and will moult out with adult feathering, turning to a glistening blue.

Magna Double Yellow-Headed Amazons and Timneh African Grey Parrots are settling in to take a nap after the afternoon feeding on 7/3/01.

Yellow-Naped and Magna Double Yellow-Headed Amazon Parrots are in
the final weaning stage on 7/3/01. These intelligent birds are already trying to mimic!

We had some really lovely Bronze-Winged Pionus this year!
Here are two babies in our nursery on 7/5/01.

This female and male Vosmaeri Eclectus are just starting to wean on 7/4/01. They learn to eat quickly and will wean in about another month.
