There are fourteen photographs total including Hyacinth Macaw (front cover ), Citron & Lesser Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos (January), Congo African Grey (February), Magna & Tres Maria Double Yellow-Headed Amazons (March), Yellow-Collared Macaw(April), Rose-Breasted Cockatoo (May), Green-Rumped Parrotlet (June), Hyacinth Macaw (July), Meyer's Parrot (August), Scarlet Macaw (September), Black-Headed and Yellow-Thighed Caiques (October), Yellow-Naped Amazon (November), and Green-Winged Macaw (December) and two playful Black-Headed and Yellow-Thighed Caiques on the back cover.

The calendar is a large 10" by 13" with large boxes for daily notes. Each photograph is captioned with the common and scientific names of the birds in the photograph, the bird's age, and a few comments about each species featured. The calendars are shrink-wrapped with a cardboard insert for stability in shipment.
